Animal Technician – San Diego, CA salary $22-26/hr

What you’ll do:

• Perform routine animal husbandry and welfare.
• Perform cage changing, providing clean bedding and materials for mice housed in the vivarium.
• Observations of animal health, behavior and appearance.
• Autoclaving of biowaste for disposal.
• Assist in maintaining vivarium supply inventories – stocking and ordering.
• Routine weekend and holiday work required.
• Other duties may be assigned in addition to those listed above.

Who you are:

• High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 year of experience working in a vivarium / animal facility.
• Seeking prior experience with rodent handling. 
• Prior experience with animal husbandry and desire to learn dosing.

What does this position pay? 

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. 
The expected range for this role is $22-26/hour.
