Chief Financial Officer – Los Angeles

This innovative company in an emerging industry that combines food, technology, and marketing is planning to grow exponentially in the next 5 years and seeking a driven Chief Financial Officer with 10+ years of experience in corporate finance/accounting, public accounting audit, and/or private equity. The CFO will report to the Founder and CEO.

Who You Are:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting assurance, corporate finance/accounting, and/or private equity is required.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge in sales tax would be nice to have.
• Experience in acquisitions and leading M&A integrations.
• Success in managing and developing an organization that is metrics-driven (e.g. monthly dashboards, business reviews, defined annual goals, budgeting processes).
• Entrepreneurial in nature and someone who can “roll up the sleeves.”
• Advanced in Microsoft Office and/or GSuite (Excel and Sheets).

What You'll Do:

• Be the finance leader and strategic partner of this organization and help achieve its operational and financial objectives. 
• Regularly report to the Board of Directors.
• Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities and executive operational goals.
• Manage the month- and year-end close process in accordance to US GAAP.
• Oversee all cash accounts and cash flow forecasting and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
• Manage the day-to-day finance operations and oversee all aspects of it, including but not limited to accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and tax planning.  
• Work with senior leadership on building and leading a finance team.

What does this position pay? 
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. 
The expected range for this role is $240,000 to $300,000 base per year plus an annual bonus. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
