What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and calculate deferred commissions (VPI) and reconciliations monthly
- Monitor and review forgivable loans reconciliation and journal entries, and all agent receivables and billings
- Review marketing support and CECL allowance
- Review revenue related reconciliations, journal entries and annual agent 1099
- Oversee the contract process and operational areas to ensure compliance with SOX
- Support monthly close process and revenue department
- Work alongside agents, office managers and legal to resolve and reduce delinquent agent related receivables
- Provide support to streamline business processes
- Assist with other projects and ad hoc reports as needed
- Manage audit support requests to external auditors for SOX and substantive audit procedures
Who You Are:
- 6+ years of public accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field
- CPA Required
- Experience working with volume driven transactional accounting and assessing contract agreements
- Understanding of process improvements and systems implementations
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, specifically very strong excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Efficient self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects and deadlines
- Capacity to mentor other accounting professionals
