Director of Talent and Development

This leader in the investment management sector is seeking a strategic and thoughtful addition to their Talent and Development team who will manage and support their global initiatives related to leadership, DE&I, professional/team development, talent management, performance management, orientation and onboarding, employee engagement, and recognition. In this highly visible role, you will partner with various other leaders and project managers to continuously monitor and improve the overall employee engagement and culture of this organization!

*This is not a fully remote role – must be comfortable with going on-site three times a week*
 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or relevant field

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience with a large-cap company/firm

  • Talent and training program content development experience

  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills

  • Proven ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, independently determining order of priority and self-initiating other value-added tasks

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Team-oriented with strong integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborates on design, development, enhancement and facilitation of global talent and development initiatives

  • Partners with head of department and HR business partners to conduct training/development needs analysis on talent and development opportunities for business units

  • Generates reports and analyzes data to inform talent strategy

  • Collaborates in the design and implementation of the employee engagement survey

  • Partners with the head of department to manage the full-cycle performance review, goal setting process, and succession programs

  • Participates in the development and management of firm-wide promotion guidelines

  • Collaborates cross functionally such as working with DE&I councils on key initiatives, talent acquisition on internship programs, and HR business partners on department offsite meeting supports
