We're looking for a motivated and intelligent Director of Technical Accounting who will lead key developments for the department and work closely with the Corporate Controller and other senior management! Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • CPA license required
  • 8+ years of technical accounting experience from Big 4/Top 10 assurance or advisory; Industry experience is nice to have but not required
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles concepts and SEC financial reporting requirements
  • Strong ability to conduct technical accounting research, assessments, and write technical memos
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to accurately report activity
  • Ability to efficiently provide reliable information and respond to sensitive issues with team members, senior management, and other departments


What You'll Do:

  • Conduct accounting analyses on both day-to-day as well as strategic and complex transactions for proper accounting treatment
  • Research technical accounting matters and prepare technical memorandums, research papers, and accounting positions related to areas such as Revenue Recognition, Impairment Analyses, Fair Value Accounting, Lease Accounting, and VIE/Consolidation Analyses, Stock-based compensation accounting, Investment Accounting, Segment Reporting, or other significant/unusual transactions.
  • Help develop and establish accounting policies and procedures in alignment with operational strategies and implementations of new systems or processes.
  • Make recommendations to improve system efficiency and best practices while ensuring proper techniques are followed according to policy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls in a SOX environment.
  • Assist with training and development of existing team members and new additions.
