Food Scientist/Sr. Food Technologist

In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis of Rubi Protein in food applications and the development of prototypes that showcase its functionality. You will initiate and develop projects to better understand the fundamental techno-functional properties of Rubi Protein and its applications.

What you will do:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Rubisco functionality and performance in food matrices.
  • Develop and conduct analytical assays to understand the protein biochemistry of our Rubi Protein as related to its behavior and functionality in various food matrices.
  • Characterize the synergies and/or symbiosis between our protein ingredient and other food proteins, enzymes, food ingredients, and food formulations.

Who you are:

  • MS or PhD degree in Food Science and/or Food Technology.
  • 2+ years of relevant ingredient development and/or R&D experience.
  • Ability to identify novel applications and develop bottom-up applications based on protein functionality.
  • Experience with techno-functional profiling of plant-based proteins and ingredients.
