Broadcast Infrastructure Technician | On-site in Washington, DC | 

A audio and media organization is seeking a Broadcast Infrastructure Technician to support a 24/7 live broadcast environment in Washington, DC. This is a hands-on, user-facing role focused on first-line technical support for studio teams and remote users, helping ensure uninterrupted on-air operations.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, IT operations, broadcast operations, or a related environment (flexible for strong candidates)

  • Comfortable supporting Windows-based systems, hardware, software, and basic networking issues

  • Experienced working directly with users in studios or remote environments

  • Able to troubleshoot issues by logging into device interfaces and identifying root causes (network, software, hardware)

  • Hands-on and adaptable: comfortable running cables, installing hardware, documenting systems, and supporting physical infrastructure

  • Open to flexibility for occasional early morning, night, or weekend coverage as part of a rotating 24/7 schedule

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide first-line technical support for broadcast studios and remote users

  • Troubleshoot studio, hardware, software, network, and audio-related issues

  • Support and maintain broadcast and IT infrastructure, including cabling and equipment installs

  • Monitor systems, review logs, and escalate issues when needed

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $35.00 to $44.00 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
