POSITION SUMMARY: This is a QA role within a fast-paced, Scrum-based brand-new software product environment. You will test web and (possibly) mobile applications, write test plans & test cases, execute test cases for new and existing features & manage defects to closure. You'll work closely with a small team of product managers, developers, and be responsible for software quality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years of full-time manual software testing/QA experience for web-based applications
- Strong ability to understand product vision/requirements & write robust test plan and test cases
- Experience testing mobile applications is a plus
- Experience working on API testing is desired
- Knowledge of OOPS concepts is a plus
- Basic knowledge of C# or Java is a plus
- Knowledge of Database/SQL testing is a plus
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Experience interacting with US-based clients is a plus
- Experience in the fitness or wellness industry is a plus
- Open to flexible working hours when demanded by the project
- Experience working in Automation testing tools
- Basic knowledge in either, Selenium, Rspec, Cucumber, or Jest is desired
- Basic knowledge in either C#, Java, Javascript, or Ruby is desired

- Leverage strong domain knowledge to provide comprehensive manual test coverage
- Responsible for testing web and mobile applications for a software product company
- Find defects that if missed would have had consequential user impact
- Rarely miss defects while testing software
- Possess very strong written, verbal communications skills
- If a project is handed to you, you see it all the way through to completion
- Show initiative & be accountable for your work with minimal handholding
- Creative in finding solutions to problems
- Carefully review work before it is submitted
- Work toward “win-win” outcomes
