Manager / Director of Fermentation, Process Development

What you will do:

  • Direct the technical activities of the pilot plant to develop high-yielding, scale-relevant fermentation processes
  • Provide strategy to establish the overall direction and operation of multiple fermentation projects
  • Supervise upstream process development staff, including setting objectives and development plans, performance management, career development, training and mentoring

Who you are:

  • Ph.D. or MS in engineering or life sciences with 5+ years' experience in bioprocess engineering or related field
  • Prior work experience within an industrial R&D setting, developing commercial-ready fermentation-based bioprocesses
  • Experience with pilot plants (100L – 10,000L). 
  • Must have prior experience with managing a team.
  • Must be open to domestic and international travel occasionally.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $140,000 to $170,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
