Microbiology Research Technician

Microbiology Research Technician – Contract
The ideal professional will have a strong background in Microbiology and an eagerness to join and contribute to a tight knit, mutually supportive community of skilled experts.

What you will do:

• Performs basic and specialized microbiology techniques with limited supervision of the scientific investigator.
• Conduct aerobic and anaerobic bacterial cultivation and isolation
• Perform growth media preparation, growth media optimization, and scaling up fermentation production from small scale to medium and/or large scale.

Who you are:

• BS with 1-5 years OR equivalent education and experience.
• Experience working with multiple strains of microbes, ideally soil microbes but not required. Must have the ability to identify contaminations withing various strain types.
• Experience streaking for isolations as well as scaling up isolated stock.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
