Our client is seeking an experienced Attending Veterinarian/Study Director with a DVM to oversee the colony management of small and large animals, drive Vivarium Operations, and ensure the successful execution of research studies. What you'll do:

• Oversee study quotations, resource allocation, protocol adherence, and department P&L.
• Manage and mentor Study Directors for GLP and non-GLP studies, develop training programs, and increase overall operational efficiencies. 
• Serve as the key point of contact for clients, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and strict protocol adherence.

• DVM Degree from an accredited institution and license to practice medicine in California. (If not licensed in CA, must be eligible for state license)
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian with a focus on survival surgery
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Study Director or Principal Investigator in pre-clinical studies or related research fields.
• Prior experience in a research or vivarium setting is preferred.
• Previous experience in GLP-regulated environments is highly preferred.

What does this position pay?

• Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $220,000 to $300,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
