WiFi Software Engineer

Sr Software Engineer (WiFi) – Palo Alto, CA – $160,000-$200,000

Who you are:

• 5+ years of experience working with WiFi technologies, including Qualcomm WiFi chipsets, drivers, or firmware.
• Hands-on experience debugging connectivity issues such as dropped connections, buffering, throughput degradation, and performance instability on physical devices.
• Strong understanding of WiFi system interactions across chipset, firmware, drivers, and application software layers.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing technical solutions in collaboration with internal engineering teams and external vendors.

 
What you’ll do:

• Validate WiFi performance on production hardware and perform post-silicon testing in real-world automotive environments.
• Reproduce, troubleshoot, and diagnose connectivity issues including slow speeds, connection failures, buffering, and dropped connections.
• Investigate interactions between WiFi chipsets, drivers, firmware, and vehicle software to identify root causes.
• Implement fixes within your area of ownership and verify improvements through comprehensive retesting and performance validation.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education. The expected range for this role is $160,000-$200,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
