Get to know Erika:
What’s one thing you absolutely want to do before you die?
I’d like to move to a foreign country by myself for at least 6 months. I’ve always wanted to try it, and I think you just get a different perspective and view on life once you do so, especially going on your own. If I had to narrow it down, I would heavily consider somewhere tropical like Bali, or a big city like London.
Describe one of the most meaningful experiences in your life.
One of the most meaningful experiences in my life has definitely been moving so much throughout my life. I’ve lived in LA, Paris, Scottsdale, Detroit, and now San Diego. Although when I was younger it was definitely difficult, I now have so many different friends in different cities and am incredibly grateful for the experience.
Who is someone you especially admire and why?
My older sister, Anna. She is by far the most ambitious person I have ever met, and has taught me that nothing you want is ever too difficult/out of reach to achieve. Her work ethic and determination is unmatched, yet she remains to be one of the most empathetic and compassionate people I know. She is the first person I call every time I need advice, and I am just so incredibly thankful for her. My role model, best friend, and my older sister all happen to be the same person – I’d say I lucked out!
If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
Snowboarding! It seems so incredibly fun and also such a great workout.
