What book changed the way you see and understand the world?
A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. Like the title may suggest, it tells the tale of a man over the span of forty years. As he is journeying throughout his life, he experiences trauma that makes him feel small and insignificant, and therefore, worthless. However, this story highlights that a life, even a seemingly “little” one, can have meaning and make a massive impact.

What quote speaks to you most/makes you laugh?
“Everything happens for a reason” has always resonated with me and been a comfort during hard times. To me, it assures me that what happened was meant to happen and reminds me that every obstacle in life gives me the opportunity to rise above the fear of what may happen next by having a little faith that whatever happens was meant to happen in order for me to grow as a person.

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
Learning new languages! I have studied Spanish throughout my life and consider myself conversationally fluent, but I would love to develop this skill and expand to learn more languages.
