Let’s Do Mo’ Betta
Remember your New Year’s Resolutions? How are those coming along?
No offense, but we’re guessing they’re toast. They’re the toast you ate with butter and jelly on the day your Paleo Diet ended. If you’re like most people, your resolve has given way to routine, and your old habits are back in business. Does this sound familiar?
Don’t feel bad – Forbes reports that only 8% of people actually achieve their New Year’s Resolutions. That’s a pretty small number, but it doesn’t mean that you have to join the underachieving 92%.
Instead, you should join us – right now – in re-committing to personal and professional betterment this year. In 2014, let’s agree to help each other do Mo’ Betta.
Definition: Mo’ Betta
\ Mow BET-taah; Moe BET-tuh \
- A beta approach to the pursuit of ones’ goals or aspirations.
- Philosophy. A state of mind in which continuous self-improvement is sought, so that the ultimate goal is to achieve ‘More, Better’ than the day before, rather than a defined notion of perfection.
Origin: Mo’ Betta comes from the English ‘More Better,” as in, Do more. Better.
So far, two of our own resolutions for this year have gotten off to a slow start. Those are: (1) connect more people in better ways and (2) do Mo’ Betta on the marketing front.
Now stay with us – we’re not talking about cheesy networking mixers or clogging your inboxes with Mo’ Emails. (We promise.) Instead, we’ve come up with five new initiatives to help you do Mo’ Betta in 2014, and that’ll help us achieve our own resolutions in the process. Here’s a look at what’s to come:
