Accounting Consultant

Assistant Controller | $65-$80/hr | Contract | Remote (Austin, TX local ideally)

Who You Are:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership-level role
• Strong background managing month-end close activities and ensuring timely financial reporting
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and limited oversight
• Proficiency with ERP systems; experience supporting or working through system implementations or conversions is highly preferred
• Familiarity with audit support, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with subscription-based or recurring revenue business models is a plus

What You'll Do:

• Support and oversee key aspects of the month-end close process to ensure deadlines are met
• Coordinate with accounting team members and business partners to maintain accurate and timely financial reporting
• Respond to audit requests and assist with accounting-related projects as needed
• Help manage workflow, prioritize deliverables, and identify areas where additional support is needed
• Partner with leadership to maintain continuity of operations during team transitions
• Contribute to process improvements and special initiatives that enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
