AP Accountant

AP / Staff Accountant – San Diego, CA (Hybrid) – $35–$40/hr
Are you a strong Accounts Payable professional ready to step into a broader accounting role? This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with visibility, flexibility, and room to take on more responsibility over time.
Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience
• Strong AP foundation with the ability to read, analyze, and think through invoices end-to-end
• Comfortable in a high-volume, fast-changing environment (startup or biotech experience preferred)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to problem-solve independently

What you’ll do:

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, PO matching, and vendor reconciliations
• Support account, bank, and general ledger reconciliations and assist with month-end close
• Maintain and close purchase orders while ensuring proper approval workflows are followed
• Assist with audit support, 1099 reporting, and continuous process improvements as the company scales

What does this position pay? Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $35–$40 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
