AP Clerk

Accounts Payable Clerk | $25/hr | Contract | Onsite, San Diego, CA
Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day accounting and financial operations. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and helping ensure financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment. Who You Are:

• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field with accounting experience, or equivalent hands-on accounts payable experience
• Experience processing invoices, expense documentation, and payment-related transactions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team environment
• Prior experience within a nonprofit organization is a plus

What You'll Do:

• Review, verify, and process invoices, payment requests, and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounts payable files
• Assist with payment processing and reconciliation activities
• Support month-end accounting tasks and journal entry preparation
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and documentation standards
