AP Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist III – San Diego, CA – $25–$29/hr – Hybrid (Mira Mesa area)
Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment? This is an opportunity to join an established, mission-focused technology organization supporting complex operations, with a stable team and long-term growth potential. This role is on-site to start, with the potential for a hybrid schedule after training.

Who you are:

• 3+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of invoice processing, 3-way matching, and general accounting practices
• Experience with expense reports and purchasing cards; government contracting exposure is a plus
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working across multiple systems (Excel proficiency preferred)

What you’ll do:

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices and check requests in accordance with company policies
• Perform PO-based invoice matching, reconcile AP transactions, and resolve discrepancies
• Process and audit expense reports for policy and compliance requirements
• Support month-end close activities, audits, and ongoing cost-control initiatives

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $25–$29 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
