ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST – CLINICAL & ANALYTICAL DEVELOPMENT, MILWAUKEE, WI, $30–$42/HR
Interested in hands-on clinical assay work that directly supports patient-impacting diagnostics? Join an innovative biotech organization building a next-generation diagnostic platform, where you’ll work with real clinical samples in a hospital setting, prototype instruments, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This is a 9 month, onsite contract role in Milwaukee with 1-2 week training in Toronto, Canada at the headquarters in April 2026.
Who you are:
- BS or MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, or a related field
- 2-5+ years of hands-on academic or industry experience in clinical, analytical, or assay development labs
- Experience handling clinical samples (blood, urine) and following GLP; CLIA/CAP or GMP exposure is a plus
- Prior coding is a plus, not required ie python and / or R.
- Valid passport and ability to travel to Canada for required training in April.
What you’ll do:
- Execute analytical and clinical experiments supporting assay development, optimization, and verification
- Prepare, process, and analyze up to 40–50 clinical blood samples per day across multiple instruments and prototypes
- Troubleshoot assay and instrumentation issues, document results, and communicate findings to project teams

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $30–$42 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
