Associate Scientist, In-Vivo Research

In Vivo Research Associate – San Diego, CA, (Temporary Project) $30-$32/hr

Are you experienced in animal research and looking for a hands-on role supporting cutting-edge drug discovery research? Our client, an innovative pharmaceutical company, is seeking a detail-oriented research professional to support preclinical in vivo studies from planning through execution in a collaborative laboratory environment.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field with research experience handling small animals (3-5 years), or an Associate's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with animal handling (mice and rats), dosing (Sub Q), tissue collection, and working with mice and rats in a laboratory setting.
• Strong record keeping skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

• Perform in vivo studies, including body weight collection, dosing, blood collection, tissue harvest, and ex vivo analysis.
• Support transgenic mouse colony management, including breeding, weaning, genotyping, and monitoring animal health.
• Maintain accurate study documentation and communicate results effectively with scientists and cross-functional teams.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $30-$32 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
