Audit Recovery Specialist (Contract) – Onsite – Costa Mesa, CA $25–$26.50/hr
Are you experienced in Medicare billing and government audits and looking for a contract role where your expertise truly matters? This is an opportunity to join an established healthcare organization where you’ll be a key point of contact for regulatory audit activity and compliance support.
Who you are:

• 3+ years of Medicare billing experience (billing, follow-up, appeals) in an acute care setting
• 1+ years of experience supporting healthcare regulatory audits and appeals
• Working knowledge of CMS billing, payment, reimbursement methodologies, and related regulations

What you’ll do:

• Respond to and manage government audit correspondence related to RAC, MAC, TPE, CERT, OIG, QIO, and other Medicaid/Medi-Cal audits
• Prepare, process, and submit documentation and audit materials to ensure billing and documentation compliance
• Perform audit-related data entry, mail processing, and tracking while serving as a central audit liaison

What does this position pay? Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $25–$26.50 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
