Controller – Consumer Services | Plano, TX | $180K–$220K + 20% Bonus

A newly restructured, high-growth consumer services company is seeking a strategic and technically strong Controller to lead its accounting function. In this critical role, you’ll oversee all aspects of the monthly close process, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and GAAP compliance. This is a visible leadership opportunity within a dynamic environment that requires both hands-on technical accounting knowledge and a continuous improvement mindset.

This is a primarily onsite position based in Plano, TX.


What you’ll do:

  • Oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

  • Prepare consolidated monthly and quarterly financial reports, including supporting schedules and footnotes

  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts in partnership with the CFO

  • Ensure revenue recognition and lease accounting are compliant with ASC 606 and ASC 840/842

  • Lead process improvement initiatives across accounting operations and reporting functions

  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and assist in year-end audit coordination

  • Supervise and mentor the Assistant Controller and indirectly oversee AP and GL teams

  • Maintain accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and ensure reporting accuracy


Who you are:

  • CPA required, with at least 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 840/842)

  • Experienced in preparing internal and external financial statements for multi-unit or multi-entity businesses

  • Adept at managing and improving accounting processes, systems, and controls

  • Proficient in Excel and accounting platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Concur

  • Prior experience in consumer/retail, franchise, or multi-location businesses strongly preferred

  • A collaborative and curious leader who can operate independently in a lean, fast-paced environment

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $180,000–$220,000 base salary, plus a 20% target bonus. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
