Director, Complex Financial Reporting

Are you an accounting leader who understands the close process inside and out and is not afraid to roll up your sleeves with messy data? This is an opportunity to join an established business advisory firm. As a Director, you will lead client engagements, guide a team of consultants, and help clients improve their close and reporting processes. You will also have the chance to take on technical financial reporting work.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead client engagements with Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Managers reporting to you.
  • Dive into client operational data to analyze it and improve reporting processes.
  • Apply a deep understanding of the close process to strengthen how clients produce their financial results.
  • Support financial reporting work, such as technical memos and financial statement and disclosure preparation, based on your experience and interests.
  • Lead smaller projects independently when needed, with guidance and support from Partners, Managing Directors, and fellow Directors.
  • Partner with technical accounting, reporting, and technology professionals across the firm.

Who you are:

  • Extensive accounting experience with a strong understanding of the close process.
  • Experience leading teams or client engagements.
  • Comfortable working with complex, unstructured operational data.
  • Financial reporting experience, including memos and financial statement and disclosure preparation, is a plus.
  • Big 4 or top 10 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • A track record of stable tenure.

Why work here?

  • Impact: Lead meaningful client engagements where your expertise directly improves how companies close their books and report results.
  • Variety: Balance technical financial reporting with hands on close and data process improvement work.
  • Support: Collaborate closely with experienced Directors, Managing Directors, and Partners who provide guidance and partnership on every engagement.
