A Dallas-based business advisory firm is growing its Strategy Realization practice and hiring a Manager or Director. You will help clients close performance gaps in their accounting and finance operations, from assessing how they work today to fixing what is holding them back.
What You’ll Do:
- Process review and foundational design: Assess clients’ accounting and finance operations through process mapping, system assessments, and gap analyses to identify performance gaps and scalability constraints.
- Measure, optimize, and capture margin: Lead improvements to the month-end close and financial reporting process, including close acceleration, account reconciliations, internal controls, and management reporting.
- Process remediation and M&A: Combine systems, resolve process inefficiencies, repair integrations, and train users to ensure stability and maximize value.
- Lead engagements and coach and mentor team members.
Who You Are:
- Manager: 5 to 8 years of experience. Director: 8 to 12 years of experience.
- A background in industry (Controller or Assistant Controller type roles), or relevant Strategy Realization type experience at another consulting firm, such as Business Transformation, CFO Advisory, Office of the CFO, or Performance Improvement.
- Experience leading engagements, with strong project management skills and executive presence.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Nice to Have:
- ERP implementation, optimization, or post-implementation support, ideally.
- System selection and vendor evaluation, including requirements gathering, RFP support, demo scoring, and implementation roadmaps.
- Chart of accounts design, subledger structure, and month-end close automation within the ERP.
Really Nice to Have:
- ERP certifications, or ERP administrator or consultant experience.
- Post-merger systems integration: consolidating multiple ERPs, standardizing processes, and aligning reporting across acquired entities.
- Integration between the ERP and upstream operational or commercial systems (billing, revenue, ETRM, field data) and downstream reporting layers such as Power BI.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
The expected range for this role is $120,000 to $160,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
