HR Compliance & Payroll Specialist – Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (REMOTE)

You’ll own payroll and HR compliance end to end while working closely with a tight knit team that values empathy, feedback, and resourcefulness.

Who you are:

  • Experience processing high volume payroll (350+ employees/contractors).
  • Knowledge of wage & hour regulations and foundational employment law.
  • Hands on experience with onboarding documentation (I9, W4, background checks).
  • Detail oriented, discreet, proactive, and comfortable in a fast paced, startup like environment.
  • Must have a dedicated remote workspace with no background noise during working hours.

What you’ll do:

  • Process weekly payroll for 350+ contractors (approx. half W2), including timecard review and discrepancy resolution.
  • Manage garnishments, benefits deductions, 401(k) contributions, and ACA reporting.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding, including compliance checks and system setup.
  • Administer benefits eligibility, support open enrollment, and track state mandated training.
  • Ensure contractor compliance while collaborating closely with HR, accounting, and account management teams.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $58,000–$60,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
