In Vivo Operations Specialist/Manager, San Diego, CA, $100K –$145K per year

Are you energized by running complex preclinical operations and being hands-on in the OR? Join an innovative biotech organization where you’ll play a critical role overseeing in vivo medical device studies, partnering closely with scientific leadership, and acting as a key liaison for sponsors in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Who you are:

• 5+ years of experience in a laboratory setting supporting preclinical in vivo studies, including large animal work
• Strong background in anesthesia, analgesia, and peri-operative management
• Proven experience with project management, scheduling, and resource allocation in a regulated environment
• Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting with a strong customer-service mindset

What you’ll do:

• Oversee day-to-day in vivo lab and OR operations, including scheduling, staffing, supplies, and room readiness
• Manage and coordinate preclinical studies from proposal sign-off through report finalization in partnership with Study Directors
• Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors, providing scheduling, in-study, and reporting updates
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements (USDA, FDA GLP), including radiation safety oversight and equipment readiness

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $100K–$145K per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
