Manufacturing Materials Specialist, San Diego, CA – $80,000-$120,000
Are you a materials management professional who enjoys driving inventory accuracy, ERP optimization, and supply chain excellence in a GMP manufacturing environment? Our client, an innovative biotech company, is seeking a Manufacturing Materials Specialist to support critical manufacturing operations, material planning, and inventory management while helping scale a growing organization.

Who you are:

• 2+ years of experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, cell therapy, gene therapy, or other GMP manufacturing environments.
• 2+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, inventory control, or GMP manufacturing operations.
• Experience with inventory management and materials planning systems such as QAD.
• Strong understanding of lot traceability, GMP material controls, inventory transactions, and ERP master data architecture.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

What you’ll do:

• Manage materials-related ERP functions including inventory control, warehouse operations, material planning, ordering, status management, and traceability.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with qualified suppliers and track order confirmations, shipments, receipts, invoicing, returns, and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, annual physical inventories, corrective actions, reconciliation activities, and inventory performance metrics.
• Support ERP enhancements, upgrades, master data governance, deployment activities, and end-user training.
• Monitor supplier performance, support audit readiness activities, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with GMP and operational requirements.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $85,000–$120,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
