Marketing Automation Specialist
This role owns the execution, optimization, and reliability of automated email and SMS lifecycle programs that drive member engagement and revenue across multiple channels. It integrates automation with promotional teams, paid media partners, and partnership stakeholders to ensure cohesive, high-performing customer journeys. The position plays a critical role in maintaining smooth, accurate, and scalable automation processes for a fast-growing, highly collaborative marketing team.

What you will do:

  • Manage and optimize automated lifecycle journeys across email and SMS, including new member onboarding, abandoned cart flows, multi-touch messaging, and integrated coupon based promotions.
  • Build, QA, troubleshoot, and continuously improve all automation logic within the ESP to ensure accuracy, smooth performance, and timely delivery with minimal oversight needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the promotional email team, paid search/paid social agency partners, and partnership teams to align automated journeys with broader campaigns, offers, and ad placements.
  • Create and maintain personalized content blocks and ensure consistent messaging across automated and promotional channels, supporting both engagement and revenue driving initiatives.
  • Work cross?functionally to integrate automation with wider channel strategies, helping streamline communication efforts and support new marketing initiatives for a rapidly growing team.

Who you are

  • 3+ years of hands on experience working in ESP platforms, with the ability to self teach and comfortably navigate new systems while managing multistep automated journeys.
  • Background in ecommerce or B2C lifecycle marketing, with strong understanding of automated customer journeys (welcome flows, abandoned cart, multi?touch SMS + email).
  • Proven ability to independently maintain, QA, troubleshoot, and optimize automation programs that run continuously in the background with minimal oversight.
  • Strong collaborator who takes direction well, communicates clearly, and works effectively within a newer, supportive, highly team oriented marketing group.
  • Detail oriented and operationally strong, comfortable integrating automation with cross-channel efforts (paid search, paid social) and coordinating with internal promotional and partnership teams.

What does this position pay?

  • Compensation is determined by several factors including experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000 – $80,000 annually, plus benefits. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
