Mechanical Design Engineer – Oil and Gas

Mechanical Design Engineer, near Houston TX, $120,000 – $150,000 per year

Do you enjoy taking ideas from a blank sheet to production quickly and seeing your designs built and used in the field? Our client is an innovative engineering organization supporting complex offshore and subsea operations, offering fast design cycles, hands on engineering, and multiple new product launches each year.

Who you are:
• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong R&D and product development background (open to medical device backgrounds). 
• Experience in machine design, tight tolerance assemblies, and hands on troubleshooting
• Proficient in SolidWorks with exposure to ERP or PLM systems
• Comfortable working closely with the shop floor and service teams
• Creative problem solver with strong technical fundamentals; electrical experience is a plus.

What you’ll do:
• Design mechanical systems from concept through production, including white sheet designs
• Support manufacturing, assembly, testing, and field service by troubleshooting and fixing systems
• Collaborate with cross functional teams in design reviews and production support
• Deliver designs on rapid 8 to 12 week development cycles.
• Participate in occasional travel, site visits, and non standard work hours as projects require.

What does this position pay?

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
