We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join a collaborative and people-focused energy company in downtown Houston. This newly created role will work directly with the Director of HR and play a key part in the accurate and efficient processing of payroll for a growing, multi-state workforce. If you’re an experienced payroll professional who enjoys improving processes and collaborating across departments, this is a great opportunity to step into a visible, high-impact role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own full-cycle payroll processing for ~800 employees across multiple states, including bi-weekly and off-cycle runs

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Benefits, Accounting, and Legal to ensure accurate employee data and reporting

  • Manage payroll inputs including time entry, benefits, 401(k), taxes, garnishments, and GL integration

  • Handle supplemental payroll for bonuses and equity

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries

  • Recommend process improvements to drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience (oil & gas industry preferred)

  • Experience with Workday, UKG, or ADP strongly preferred

  • No degree required, but certification (CPP or PCP) is a plus

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
