Payroll Supervisor – Mission Driven Non-Profit

Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Strong expertise in foreign national taxation, including visa types such as F-1 and J-1, and related reporting (1042, 1042-S)
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex, multi-state payroll operations
- Experienced with modern payroll systems and advanced Excel skills
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop a payroll team in a high-volume, in-house payroll environment
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll for ~2,000 individuals across multiple states, including employees, foreign nationals, and stipend recipients
- Manage foreign national payroll compliance, including tax administration, tax residency determinations, treaty applications, and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement by auditing payroll processes, ensuring compliance, and partnering closely with HR and Finance

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $90,000–$105,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
