Project Accountant / Bookkeeper | Onsite in Dallas, TX

Join a growing real estate development company in Dallas! We’re looking for a Project Accountant / Bookkeeper to support our team with accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. What You’ll Do:

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Manage invoice processing and payment schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Bookkeeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records, track expenses, and prepare monthly reports for financial reviews.
  • PFD Reimbursement: Organize and manage Public Financing District (PFD) reimbursements, ensuring compliance with project guidelines and timelines.
  • Cash Management: Track and input cash transactions, ensuring proper accounting for company cash flow.
  • Quarterly Closing Entries: Assist in closing quarterly financials, including depreciation, amortization, and inventory lot calculations.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with the finance team and project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
  • Financial Modeling Support: Assist in updating financial models as the company continues to acquire new projects and manage entity structures.

Who You Are:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Public Financing District (PFD) reimbursement experience is a strong plus but not required.
  • Experience with accounts payable, bookkeeping, and general financial reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, macros, and data manipulation.
  • A detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Open to individuals seeking to return to the workforce with bookkeeping or AP experience in a real estate development setting.
  • A team player who is comfortable in a small office environment and eager to contribute to broader organizational goals.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
