Senior Embedded Android Engineer – San Francisco, CA – $130,000–$160,000 per year (base)

This is an opportunity to join a mid-sized, globally established engineering firm with deep roots in connected devices, where senior engineers own platform bring-up end-to-end and work directly with cutting-edge client products from concept to production.
Who you are:

• 10+ years of experience in embedded Android platform development
• Deep expertise bringing up Android on Qualcomm SoCs (bootloader ? kernel ? HAL ? framework)
• Strong background in Linux kernel and device driver development (camera, sensors, display, WiFi/BT)
• Work authorization: Sponsorship is available for this role

What you’ll do:

• Lead Qualcomm chipset bring-up, taking new devices from boot to fully functional Android home screen
• Develop, port, and debug Linux drivers and Android HALs for cameras, sensors, display/touch, and connectivity
• Customize Android system services, native libraries, and framework components to support new hardware features
• Debug complex issues across the full Android stack, ensuring system stability, performance, and certification readiness

What does this position pay? Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $130,000–$160,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
