Senior Grant Accountant

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – LA JOLLA, CA – $38.00–$43.00/hour – 4+ months
Looking to bring your grants accounting expertise into a mission-driven research environment? Join an innovative research organization on a full-time assignment for 4+ months, supporting impactful, externally funded research with a hybrid schedule (4 days on-site, 1 day remote) in the La Jolla area.

Who you are:

• 3+ years of experience in grants accounting or program management within a biomedical research institute or early-stage biotech environment
• Strong understanding of federal grants and compliance standards 
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field

What you’ll do:

• Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting for federal and non-federal grants, including journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies while identifying and mitigating financial and compliance risks
• Partner cross-functionally to support grant management, financial analysis, and special projects

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $38.00–$43.00 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
