Senior Research Associate, Process Development

Senior Research Associate, Process Development, San Diego, CA, $38–$40/hr

Who you are:

• BS or MS in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–4+ years of relevant lab experience, ideally involving protein purification and/or fermentation.
• Skilled in aseptic technique, pipetting, buffer/media prep, and maintaining organized electronic lab notebooks.
• Experience with AKTA/FPLC or other chromatography systems preferred.
• Microbial fermentation experience is a plus.
• Fermentation is a huge plus as well. 

What you’ll do:

• Support daily laboratory operations including experiment execution, documentation, buffer/media prep, and sample collection.
• Operate and maintain fermentation bioreactors (2L–100L) as needed.
• Perform clarification, filtration, and chromatography steps to support protein purification workflows using AKTA FPLC.

What does this position pay?

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $38–$40 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
