Senior Tax Accountant

Come join a well established firm specializing in tax services, wealth management, accounting consulting, and more. They are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant with several years of experience preparing returns, ideally having exposure to partnership returns.
 

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not mandatory.
• 3+ years of experience in tax accounting
• Focus on real estate, restaurants, or entertainment industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem fx Tax, Lacerte, Drake) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Analyze financial data and tax documents to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate potential risks for clients.
• Assist in tax planning and strategy development to optimize clients' financial positions and minimize tax liabilities.
• Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance with changing tax requirements.
• Prepare and review complex schedules such as K-1s, depreciation schedules, and other supporting documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing timely responses to inquiries and delivering insightful tax advice.
• Stay updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging tax issues to enhance service offerings and maintain technical expertise.

What does this position pay?

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
