Senior Tax Accountant – Collaborative Boutique Firm in UTC!

One of San Diego’s leading boutique tax and advisory firms is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their growing team. The company is expanding through both organic growth and acquisition, offering a chance to make a lasting impact while working alongside a hands-on CPA leader. Your technical expertise, leadership, and client management skills will help shape the firm’s next phase of success!

Who you are:

• CPA or EA required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 4–5 years of experience in public accounting

• Proficient in ProConnect, Lacerte, and Excel

• Strong communicator and mentor who thrives in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and review complex tax returns (individual, partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp, trust)

• Manage client relationships with proactive communication and trusted advisory support

• Mentor and review the work of junior accountants

• Research tax issues and present planning recommendations

• Support process improvement and software implementation as the firm scales

What does this position pay?

• Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, qualifications/certifications, experience level, and geographic location.

• The expected range for this role is $88K–$100K, annualized base compensation, with additional compensation components. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
