Senior Corporate & Technical Accountant 

Want to be part of a team from the ground up? We’re partnering with a fast-growing company in Houston to bring on a Senior Accountant, Corporate & Technical Accounting. This is a newly created role, ideal for someone eager to grow, coachable, and ready to make an impact on a lean, high-visibility accounting team.
 

What you’ll do:

• Prepare technical accounting research and memos on topics including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), stock-based compensation, impairment, going concern, and debt/equity
• Support the SEC reporting function by assisting with 10-K/10-Q preparation
• Review contracts for accounting implications, including revenue recognition and lease treatment
• Handle monthly close responsibilities (journal entries/reconciliations) around stock-based comp, debt, and other general accounting areas

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 3-5 years of experience, preferably transitioning from audit or advisory at a Big 4, Top 10, or mid-size firm
• CPA highly preferred, or actively pursuing/planning to pursue

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
