Location: Remote — must maintain reliable overlap with US business hours through 2:00 PM Pacific daily

Proven Recruiting has partnered with a client to find a Senior WorkSpaces Architect to lead the architecture, engineering, and reliability on a contract basis. This is a hands-on, solo technical leadership role: you’ll design, build, troubleshoot, and operate the platform directly while partnering closely with internal teams.

What You’ll Do

• Drive the technical architecture and direction of the AWS WorkSpaces platform, including golden image lifecycle, provisioning automation, and monitoring/alerting
• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex WorkSpaces and VDI issues
• Lead cost optimization and governance efforts, including lifecycle automation and provisioning controls
• Act as the primary technical liaison to business units and the AWS vendor team

What You’ll Need

• Senior-level, hands-on AWS WorkSpaces engineering and architecture experience
• Deep AWS EUC knowledge: WorkSpaces Personal, Secure Browser, bundles, images, directories
• Strong AWS infrastructure skills: VPC, subnets, DNS, routing, security groups, Directory Service/AD
• Windows and macOS endpoint troubleshooting
• Monitoring and automation experience: CloudWatch, EventBridge, CloudTrail, Lambda, scripting
• ServiceNow ITSM workflows and major incident leadership (RCA/PIR/AAR)

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $67.00 to $81.00 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
