Senior Manager, Asset Management – Office | Top-Tier Institutional Owner!

A leading, privately held real estate investment firm is hiring a Senior Manager of Asset Management to support its Office portfolio. In this highly visible role, you’ll drive valuation and underwriting work across major assets, build and maintain ARGUS + Excel models, and deliver Executive Committee–level materials that shape leasing strategy, capital investment decisions, and long-term portfolio performance. If you’re a strong real estate athlete with executive presence who enjoys both deep analytics and cross-functional partnership, this is a standout opportunity within a stable, long-term ownership platform.

Who you are:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, real estate finance, acquisitions, portfolio management, or a highly analytical CRE function

  • Advanced ARGUS + Excel skills (cash flow modeling, DCF, NPV, IRR)

  • Strong institutional underwriting fundamentals across leasing, tenant credit, capex, and valuation

  • Comfortable presenting and defending recommendations to senior leadership / Executive Committee audiences

  • A natural mentor—able to elevate junior talent without direct authority

  • Balanced style: highly analytical, but also polished and effective cross-functionally (leasing, ops, leadership)

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain ARGUS + Excel models for assigned office assets, including NPV, IRR, and DCF analyses

  • Conduct annual internal valuations and support key investment decisions with clear, defensible analysis

  • Underwrite:

    • Leasing transactions and related financial impacts

    • Tenant credit and risk considerations

    • Capital investments and ROI

    • Development and acquisition opportunities as needed

  • Prepare investment theses and financial exhibits for Executive Committee and senior stakeholders

  • Own the annual business planning process and monitor performance against plan (cash flow, leasing goals, yield)

  • Lead/participate in quarterly property reviews and forecasts (budget variance, occupancy, NOI, operating metrics)

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy

  • Partner closely with Property Operations, Leasing, and Asset Management and present in executive-level settings

Why work here:

  • Long-term hold strategy: No quarterly earnings pressure—decisions prioritize sustainable value

  • Scale + stability: One of the largest and most diversified real estate portfolios in the country (129M SF nationwide)

  • High visibility: Direct exposure to senior leadership and Executive Committee-level presentations

  • Strong peer group: Collaborative, high-performing environment with meaningful cross-team interaction

  • Variety & impact: Work spans underwriting, valuation, strategy, and business planning—no repetitive routine
