Sr. Staff Embedded Linux Software Engineer  – San Diego (Hybrid)

Who you are:

• Preferably, you have a Master degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years' professional experience in embedded Linux development, including Linux board support packages for ARM based SoCs
• Proven experience architecting, designing, implementing, testing, and debugging complex system level software for an IOT based product running embedded Linux
• Familiarity with Nvidia/Jetpack or ARM architecture and a genuine interest in robotics
• Ideally, you have developed drivers, kernels, and worked with camera pipelines

 
What you’ll do:

• Lead the development and integration of robotic system level components; identify, propose, design, implement, and support new features, fixes, and functionality to move products and software organization forward.
• Deliver software features/functionality that improve the security, reliability and performance of the software powering next generation robots
• Increase the agility/ software release frequency of the team and organization through code refactoring, simplification, and removal
• Interact with hardware vendors to translate business needs into technical specifications

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
 
The expected base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $200,000 per year plus stock and bonus. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
