Staff Accountant

STAFF ACCOUNTANT – LOCATION: Onsite 92127 – COMPENSATION: $35-40/hour TEMP-TO-HIRE

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys owning the close process and improving financial operations? Join an established organization where you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and driving process improvements across the accounting function.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 2+ years of related accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

What you'll do:

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and variance analyses while maintaining assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and ensure timelines are met.
• Assist with audits, financial reporting, banking transactions, and the resolution of accounting discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance process efficiency.
