Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant – San Diego, CA 92111 (100% Onsite) – Temp-to-Hire – $33-$40/hour

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing, or Accounting.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions, along with experience using an accounting or ERP system.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-service mindset and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in taking on increasing accounting responsibilities over time.

What you'll do:

• Manage student billing, invoicing, collections, account inquiries, and accounts receivable reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, monitor receivables, and support month-end accounting activities.
• Assist with audit preparation, cash receipt processing, fixed asset support, and cross-functional accounting coverage.
• Support process improvement initiatives, system implementations, and expanded accounting responsibilities as the role evolves.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $33-$40 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
