Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant | $30-$45/hr | Contract to Hire | Hybrid (Minneapolis, MN)
Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records across multiple functions. You will play a key role in ensuring transactions are processed efficiently, reconciliations are completed accurately, and critical financial processes continue to run smoothly. Who You Are:

• 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to a variety of accounting functions
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
• Familiarity with payroll processes and employee expense reporting is a plus
• Comfort learning new systems, processes, and technologies in a changing environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Team-oriented professional who enjoys collaborating and supporting cross-functional needs

What You'll Do:

• Process and maintain accurate financial transactions related to payables and receivables
• Assist with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end accounting activities
• Support payroll-related tasks and ensure accurate recordkeeping
• Review and process employee expense reports and company spending activity
• Help maintain financial data integrity and support system and process improvements
• Collaborate with accounting leadership and team members on special projects and operational needs
