Staff Application Engineer – Cupertino, CA (Hybrid) – $150,000–$215,000

Who you are:

  • 8+ years of embedded firmware or Applications Engineering experience with expert-level C/C++ skills, building and bringing cutting-edge connected products from concept to real-world deployment
  • Deep expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) with hands-on experience across next-generation wireless technologies including Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, or similar protocols that power today’s most innovative connected devices
  • Passionate about diving into the toughest firmware, hardware, and system-level challenges, uncovering root cause, and solving the complex problems others can’t
  • Thrives in a customer-facing technical role, partnering with industry-leading engineering teams to solve mission-critical challenges and help bring groundbreaking products to market
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship

What you’ll do:

  • Own the development, optimization, and debugging of embedded firmware powering next-generation Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and IoT products at one of the world’s leading wireless semiconductor companies.
  • Partner directly with some of the world’s most innovative hardware companies, helping bring breakthrough connected products to life using Nordic’s industry-leading ultra-low-power wireless technology.
  • Build cutting-edge demos, application examples, and technical solutions that showcase the full potential of Bluetooth LE and next-generation wireless technologies to customers around the globe.
  • Collaborate with Nordic’s world-class R&D engineers, influencing future SDKs, firmware innovations, and wireless products by turning real customer challenges into next-generation solutions

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $135,000–$215,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
