What you’ll do:
- Oversee state and local sales & use tax compliance and income tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Review, process, and ensure timely filing of 200–300 returns per month across all 50 states and local jurisdictions.
- Manage quarterly and year-end close tax activities.
- Maintain and monitor SOX controls and ensure compliance with internal audit requirements.
- Supervise and develop a team of 4 tax professionals (2 Sales & Use, 2 Income Tax).
- Manage relationships with third-party tax service providers.
- Partner with internal teams and leadership on process improvement and tax efficiency initiatives.
Who you are:
- CPA required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong background in state and local tax compliance, especially sales & use tax.
- Experience managing or reviewing high-volume, multi-jurisdictional tax returns.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with SOX controls and compliance preferred.
- Experience managing or mentoring staff.
- Ideal for a senior-level candidate ready to step into management.
- Proficient in Avalara and Salesforce or willing to learn.
- Power Query or Power BI experience is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
The expected range for this role is $100,000–$120,000 base salary. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
