Technical Accounting/Internal Controls – Defense Tech Industry – San Diego

What you will need:

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related degree. CPA required.
• 6-8+ years of public accounting (National CPA firm). At least 3 years of public accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP compliance and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 
What you’ll do:

• Accounting Analysis: Conduct thorough research on the accounting effects of business transactions, create detailed memos, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Policy Development: Assist in updating and implementing the company’s accounting policies and procedures.
• Monthly Close and Controls: Work with the team during the monthly close to ensure transactions follow US GAAP and company guidelines, and help improve internal controls.
• Audit and Confidentiality: Support audit processes by coordinating with various teams and external auditors, engaging in special projects, and maintaining the confidentiality of all information.

What does this position pay?

• Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
• The expected range for this role is $100,000 to $110,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
