VP of Finance

VP Finance – San Diego, CA (Onsite) – Temp-to-Hire – $90-$115/hour

Looking for an opportunity to lead finance for a privately held manufacturing company where you can directly influence business decisions? Join an established aerospace manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on VP Finance who can provide strategic guidance, drive forecasting and profitability, and partner closely with an engaged owner/CEO.

Who you are:

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting, inventory, labor, and overhead analysis.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, pricing analysis, contract evaluation, and long-term customer agreements.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams, including overseeing Controllers and maintaining strong financial controls.
• Advanced ERP, Excel, Microsoft tools, and reporting experience; familiarity with M1 and Power BI is highly preferred.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the finance function, oversee the Controller and accounting team, and provide actionable insight to drive business performance.
• Develop forecasts, budgets, cash flow plans, and forward-looking financial recommendations for executive leadership.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, pricing, margins, contracts, and customer agreements to support profitability and operational decision-making.
• Partner directly with the CEO/Owner, translating financial information into clear, practical recommendations and business strategies.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $215,000-$230,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
