Controller
Irving, Texas
Corporate Controller
We’re working with a well-established, family-oriented company in the real estate services space that is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee its corporate accounting function. This isn’t your typical high-level strategic leadership role—this position is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, owning the numbers, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across day-to-day operations. You'll partner closely with executive leadership in a tight-knit, collaborative environment that values trust, flexibility, and work-life balance.
What you’ll do:
• Oversee the corporate general ledger and all accounting functions, including payroll, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
• Establish and enforce internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets
• Partner directly with the COO and CEO to provide financial reporting, budget tracking, and variance analysis
• Serve as the primary liaison for third-party tax advisors and external auditors
• Lead budgeting processes and help drive process improvements across the corporate function
• Prepare and review financial statements, audit schedules, and compliance documentation
• Own ad hoc reporting, cash flow management, and internal performance tracking initiatives
Who you are:
• CPA with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with corporate-level financial oversight
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains); Concur exposure a plus
• Comfortable in a player/coach role—someone who leads by doing and has no hesitation digging into the details
• Reliable, easygoing, and team-oriented—someone who thrives in a casual and respectful culture
• Not coming from a consulting background—seeking candidates with long-term ownership mindsets
• Previous experience in a small to mid-sized company environment strongly preferred
Why work here?
• Opportunity to take ownership of the entire corporate accounting function without red tape
• Join a family-driven leadership team that prioritizes people and promotes long-term stability
• Enjoy a predictable 40-hour work week with flexibility and autonomy
• High-visibility role that works directly with executive leadership
